Onsemi is seeking a Reliability Labs Technician to support semiconductor device qualification activities within the Reliability Engineering organization. The ideal candidate will perform hands-on operation and maintenance of reliability lab stress tools, assist in executing test protocols, and ensure accurate, timely data collection for reliability evaluations. The technician will work closely with reliability engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth lab operations, data integrity, and equipment uptime. This role is critical to supporting onsemi’s commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable semiconductor products
Responsibilities
Operate and monitor reliability lab stress tools (HTOL, ELFR, HAST, TC, etc.) according to established procedures and specs.

Perform basic equipment maintenance, calibrations, and troubleshooting to ensure continuous tool availability.
•
Execute test setups per engineer-provided test plans and document results accurately.
•
Record and track device data, lot movement, and test progress in lab systems.
•
Ensure compliance with safety, ESD, and cleanroom protocols.
•
Support reliability engineers in test result collection, data organization, and report preparation.
•
Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance lab efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Experience:
2–4 years of experience in a semiconductor test or reliability lab environment preferred.
Technical Skills:
•
Experience operating reliability stress tools (HTOL, ELFR, HAST, Temperature Cycling, etc.).
•
Basic understanding of semiconductor device handling and reliability testing principles.
•
Familiarity with lab data systems and basic computer skills (Excel, JMP, etc.).
•
Ability to perform equipment troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
Soft Skills:
•
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
•
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
•
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Desired Experience
•
Prior experience supporting reliability or failure analysis labs.
•
Familiarity with semiconductor fab or back-end operations.
•
Knowledge of JEDEC and AEC-Q100 reliability testing standards.
•
Experience maintaining or qualifying reliability test equipment.
•
Exposure to data collection and analysis software (JMP, Python, etc.) is a plus
