POSITION SUMMARY: 

Responsible for assuring assigned critical functions are properly audited for accuracy of records and compliance with all policies and procedures. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:


  • Complete audits of table games, slots, cage, food and beverage, players club and hotel following detailed instructions and checklists.

 

  • Prepares Excel spreadsheets to support journal entries.

 

  • Verifies and posts details of business transactions within a business area of the company, such as funds received and disbursed, and complete a thorough audit of related documentation.

 

  • Identifies, investigates and reports any system, document or accounting issues that occur during the course of preparing and completing an audit.

 

  • Audits for compliance of Gaming Regulations, Internal Policies and Procedures, and Revenue Reporting Regulations.

 

  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of high school graduation or GED. 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have experience with automated back office computerized applications and Microsoft Office applications, particularly excel at least an intermediate level, is required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Shall possess a valid driver's license and be insurable by agencies insurance.

COMPUTER OPERATIONS

  • Intermediate personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to operate standard office equipment (copier, fax, etc.).
  • Must be able to work with American Indian people and be sensitive to their culture.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts of Bear River Casino Resort.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays & special events as needed.
