THOR Solutions is actively seeking a highly motivated junior-level Acquisition Logistician/ Program Analyst in support of the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Fast Response Cutter Program Management Office (FRC PMO) in Washington DC. The analyst will use knowledge of internal program and external department processes to assist the PMO with Programmatic, Financial, and Acquisition Logistics tasks.
Typical Responsibilities: May include (but are not limited to) the following actions:
- Provide Program and Financial Management Support to FRC PMO
- Work with resource management on budgets and procurements
- Review and analyze cost data and metrics in accordance with MSAM
- Update MSAM documents ( Acquisition Plans, LCCEs, Logistics Plans, Configuration Management Plans, Risk Management Plan etc)
- Generate financial reports and presentations
- Assist with statistical analysis of financial data such as shipyard trace reports, earned value data, and cost performance data.
- Plan and facilitate programmatic meetings, technical interchange meetings, reviews, and IPT meetings.
- Provide Acquisition Logistics Support
- Provide logistics support according to the program’s ILSP
- Support Integrated Logistics Support Management Team (ILSMT) meetings
- Review ILS data and submissions from contractors.
- Support Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability (RM&A) reviews and assessments.
Location: Hybrid. At least 3 days/week onsite at USCG Headquarters in Washington, DC.
Travel: Up to 10% travel is anticipated.
Typical Physical Activity: Desk/computer work in an office environment. May involve: repetitive motion.
Typical Pay Range: The anticipated pay range for this position in the identified location(s) is $55,000 – 70,000. Actual compensation offered will be based upon individual factors including education, qualifications, and experience.
US Citizenship Required: Due to the requirements of the federal contract that this position supports, U.S. citizenship is required. Citizenship will be confirmed via I-9/E-Verify at the start of employment.
Security Clearance Eligibility Required: This position requires a DoD Secret security clearance. A qualified candidate must either:
- Already possess an active or interim Secret security clearance (preferred);
- OR be eligible for a Secret security clearance upon hire.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelors degree in relevant field.
- In lieu of a relevant Bachelors degree, additional years of highly relevant experience may be considered.
- One to three (1-3) years of experience providing program, financial, or acquisition logistics support.
- Experience obtained in a U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Navy, or other DHS/DOD environment is highly preferred.
- Proficiency and experience with common productivity software, including the Microsoft Office suite (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, Access).
- Excellent communication skills.
