Job Summary

The Study Hall Teacher/Coordinator designs, leads, and evaluates a structured, high-support learning environment where students complete coursework, recover credit, practice study skills, and receive targeted academic assistance. The role coordinates daily operations (scheduling, attendance, supervision) and provides direct instructional support—reteaching concepts, scaffolding assignments, and coaching students in organization, time management, and digital literacy. Working closely with teachers, counselors, and administrators, the Study Hall Teacher/Coordinator uses current grades, progress reports, and intervention data to prioritize students, set weekly goals, and track outcomes. The position ensures academic integrity, aligns supports with system and state expectations, and communicates proactively with students. Success in this role is measured by improved course completion, reduced failure rates, on-time graduation, and positive student engagement indicators. Requirements / Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required. . Valid California Single Subject Credential . Develop and refine a tiered support model. . Minimum three (3) years successful experience teaching and providing structured academic support/intervention. . Proven ability to maintain a supportive learning environment for diverse learners. . Experience collaborating with teachers, counselors, and site leadership to improve academic outcomes. . Strong organization, time management, and data-driven decision-making skills. . Effective written/oral communication; bilingual skills preferred. . Ability to collaborate and coordinate multiple groups . Strong data driven decision making . Able to consistently meet deadlines . Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in program implementation. . Skilled in digital platforms (Google Workspace, student information systems, electronic work log platforms). . Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to train staff, collaborate with employers, and engage students. . Effective communication and leadership skills to train staff, collaborate with stakeholders, and advocate for program improvements. . Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) and other relevant data management tools. . This position requires regular travel between sites. A valid driver’s license, personal automobile, and proof of insurance.
