The Role

Rathfern Primary School is a two-form entry school (including bulge classes in Y5 and Y6).

Rathfern Primary School is looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and energetic Wraparound Playworker to start ASAP.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate should:

- have experience of working with or caring for children

- be able to select appropriate activities for children and supervise them

- be flexible and a team worker

- enjoy working with children

- be patient and understanding when dealing with children

- have the ability to be fair and apply equal opportunities at all times

 

Salary information

Scale 2 £30,225- £30,654 pro rata (38 weeks per year), approx. salary based on 0-5 years of service: £ 10,905 - £11,060

15 hours per week Mon-Fri (3pm- 6pm)

Rathfern Primary School in committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Our recruitment processes follow the guidance in the Department for Children, Schools and Families document Safeguarding Children and Safer Recruitment in Education. All staff will be required to undertake a disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and you will need to provide two employer references. A satisfactory DBS must be received before employees can start work in our school.

Original evidence of right to work within the United Kingdom will be required prior to commencement of employment i.e. National Insurance Number, Work Permits or Indefinite Leave to Remain. If the applicant has lived/worked overseas for 12 months or more since the age of 18, they will also be required to obtain a Certificate of Good Conduct from the country (ies) they lived/work in at their own expense and provide these for our records.
