Licensed Practical Nurse - Pain Clinic - Part Time chez Indiana Regional Medical Center

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

In this role you will be:

• Participating in teaching and rehabilitation of the patient.
• Observing, evaluating, recording, and contributing information to aid the RN/GN in the development of the patient plan of care based on age-specific criteria
• Performing sterile technique and principles of asepsis
• Using basic knowledge of IV Line tubing and changes, peripheral site inspection and care (including dressing changes)
• Administering piggyback medications and normal saline flushes
• Utilizing hospital computer system
• Providing patient and family education
• Using nursing knowledge of medical, surgical, and behavioral health nursing to effectively provide direct patient care and observe and document outcomes

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited LPN program
• EXPERIENCE:
  • 2 years of outpatient experience preferred
  • Current IV skills/Phlebotomy skills required
• LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
  • Current license as an LPN in Pennsylvania
  • BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire
