Job Summary

Quality Technician performs quality techniques to track, analyze, and report on material, processes, gages, and products to ensure they meet the company’s quality standards


Specific Job Responsibilities:  

  • Program CMM to measure parts and components to meet design specifications, using software programs.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration checks on CMM equipment as required.
  • Ensure CMM is working at optimal capacity for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality control, and production teams, and assist with finding solutions to quality issues.
  • Perform part or tool measurements using manual gauges such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc. 
  • Complete inspection documentation and report discrepancies to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations and quality standards.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications (Required):

  • At least 18 years of age (Required at all locations)
  • High school diploma or GED (Required at all locations)
  • Quality process experience
  • Knowledge of mechanical technology and computer software technology
  • Competency in shop math, blueprint reading, and use of measuring devices, gauges, and programs 

Job Qualifications (Preferred): 

  • Previous Manufacturing experience
  • Experience with GD&T methods and theory
  • Grasp of 3D special concepts and reasoning
  • Experience in CMM High Accuracy Measuring applications and software preferred

Physical Requirements of the Job:

  • Frequent walking, standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting and lifting for 8-12 hours per day
  • Able to work in non-climate-controlled and noisy environment
  • Frequent overhead reaching and reaching with both hands 
  • Frequent pushing, pulling, lifting or maneuvering loads up to 50 lbs
  • Able to wear and tolerate Personal Protective Equipment (apparel and devices)
  • Vision acuity, corrected or uncorrected, capable of reading documents, blueprints, gauges, equipment settings, calibration instruments, parts labels and written materials
  • Reliable to come to work every day and be on-time
  • Flexible work availability, including overtime during the week and weekends as needed 

PPE:

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to be worn on production floor at all times: Hearing protection, safety glasses and steel toe work boots or shoes. 

Monday through Friday 7am - 3pm
