Service Technician – Join a dynamic team delivering essential healthcare waste and hygiene solutions!
Are you reliable, hands-on, and enjoy variety in your workday? Med-X Healthcare Solutions is looking for a proactive and safety-focused Service Technician to join our fast-growing team.
As part of the Freightways Group, one of Australasia’s leading logistics and information management companies, Med-X Healthcare Solutions is a national leader in Clinical Waste, Sharps Disposal, and Hygiene & Washroom services. We’re seeking a motivated team member who thrives on independence, takes pride in delivering great service, and doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver and collect clinical waste bins, sharps containers, and hygiene products across the Sydney metro and surrounding regional areas.
- Operate a Medium Rigid (MR) truck safely, loading and unloading at various customer sites.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, safe truck.
- Accurately complete service paperwork and record load weights.
- Provide excellent customer service while working independently in the field.
- Ensure compliance with Med-X policies, procedures, and WHS requirements.
What You Bring
- At least 1 year of commercial driving experience (multi-drop preferred)
- A valid MR truck license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and as part of a tight-knit team
- Strong customer service focus and communication skills
- Safe manual handling abilities – regular pushing/pulling of 660L bins and occasional lifting of 240L bins (16–22kg)
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using smartphone applications
