About your role
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Superintendent to join our site leadership team. This critical role sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and people leadership, supporting business performance through strategic insight and operational excellence.
You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, plant-based environment—leading a skilled team, partnering across departments, and driving continuous improvement across commercial and financial functions.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and care through visible leadership, mentoring, and engagement
- Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team, overseeing performance, capability, and workflow management
- Ensure full compliance with health, environmental, community, and legislative requirements
- Deliver accurate, timely financial insights to support strategic decision-making across departments
- Oversea annual budgets and quarterly performance reviews, ensuring financial targets are met
- Conduct variance analysis, identify key risks, and implement data-driven, practical solutions
- Maintain accounting compliance with legislative, regulatory, and audit standards
- Provide concise, metrics-driven reporting on financial and operational performance
- Drive operational efficiency through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
- Strengthen cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders in maintenance, engineering, and operations
- Uphold governance standards, ensuring alignment with internal policies and external regulations
To Be Successfully Considered for This Role, You Should Have:
- Proven experience as a safety leader, with a strong passion for promoting safe work practices and influencing your team’s safety culture
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, or a related field (preferred)
- Proficiency in SAP and the Microsoft Office Suite (desirable)
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills with the ability to interpret complex data
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities to engage and inspire teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively solve problems in a fast-paced environment
