POSITION SUMMARY:
The Industrial Drafter and Parts Room Attendant is a technical resource in the engineering department, helping the site meet all regulatory and company specific policy requirements and objectives. This person is responsible for drawing creation, revisions, and storage, as well as drawing file system maintenance and management. In addition, they will be responsible for maintaining the sites’ spare part inventory. They will ensure compliance with all company standard operating procedures (SOPs) and applicable cGMP, OSHA, EPA, and local government regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Create and revise electrical, mechanical, facility, utility, architectural, process, equipment, and site layout drawings in accordance with company and industry standards.
· Organize, manage and maintain electronic drawing file systems.
· Implement improvements to enhance overall efficiency of the drafting function and the engineering department.
· Perform equipment and piping “walk-downs” to verify measurements, pipe sizes, fittings and valves in the field.
· Develop and maintain appropriate drawing standards used in CAD models and 2D drawings.
· Conduct regular inventory counts (cycle counts) and maintain accurate perpetual inventory records, using a computerized system.
· Unpack, verify, and store incoming parts and supplies, ensuring correct quantities and proper storage locations.
· Issue tools, equipment, and parts to workers and accurately track all items that are checked out.
· Enter all parts transactions, such as items received and dispersed, into the company database.
· Coordinate with purchasing or management to order replacement stock and generate purchase requisitions to maintain optimal inventory levels.
· Assist technicians with assembly of required repair/replace parts into kits to support work order completion.
· Assist technicians and other employees in locating necessary parts and provide a positive and timely response to their needs.
· Safely operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, as required to move and retrieve stock.
· In some instances, may perform minor maintenance or assemble repair kits.
General Duties

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Associate degree in Drafting from an accredited university or technical school
· Degree may be substituted with five (5) years related technical training/experience
· Three (3) years of experience creating and revising 2D CAD plant drawings and diagrams in a variety of disciplines, including electrical schematics, using AutoCAD computer aided design software.
· Must have general understanding electrical, mechanical, civil, architectural, process and piping, instrumentation, and ladder logic drawing standards and elements.
· Knowledge of cGMPs preferred.
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Attention to detail.
· Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Maximo).
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Forklift certification: will be required within 60 days for operating powered industrial trucks.
· Driver's license: A valid driver's license is preferred for picking up or delivering parts.
Physical Requirements of the Role
· Ability to frequently lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
· Capability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks like bending and twisting.
