How You Contribute to Pinnacle Transplant’s Success
The Donor QA Specialist is responsible for the assisting the organizing, filing, maintaining, and tracking of donor records prior to medical review and after release or rejection for production in a manner consistent with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements set upon PTT. The Specialist performs related quality and clerical duties, while working with both paper-based systems and electronic medical systems.
Work hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (flexible hours)
Work environment: Office or Remote/Virtual Environment
Location: North Phoenix, near 19th Avenue and Pinnacle Peak Road
Pay Rate: $27.00/hour
If Remote/Virtual, preferential consideration will be made for the following candidates who reside in these states: Arizona, Florida, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Wisconsin.
What You Will Do
- Works within the Donor Quality Assurance department
- Ensure compliance with FDA, AATB, OSHA, cGTP, and state rules and regulations at all times.
- Assists with procedural updates related to chart review, donor release, and chart archiving.
- Complete work assignments to meet department goals and keep Donor Quality Assurance Director informed of work progress and issues.
- Compile donor records/charts and maintain files until all pending chart information has been received.
- Request pending donor chart information from recovery agency staff or other related parties.
- Conduct preliminary medical reviews and audits of all donor charts for accuracy and completeness in preparation for final review and release or rejection by the Medical Director.
- Prepare and issue tissue rejection notifications and assist in disposal of rejected tissues.
- Monitor and report to leadership the final disposition of donor tissues for processing and the final release of the tissue allografts for distribution.
- Document and report all deviations from SOPs to leadership.
- Complete training and re-training in work and safety procedures no less than once each year.
- Maintain and advance technical skills through professional training and education.
- Cross-train in critical functions and assist in other departments as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned by Donor Quality Assurance Director and or PTT Leadership that may include data entry projects, and final archive of charts.
What Qualifications You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but will substitute degree for 4+ years of industry experience
- 2+ years’ experience in a related field dealing with medical records.
- Working knowledge of Computer Software such as Excel, Microsoft Word and Document Management Systems

Who You Will Partner With
- Regular communication with the donor quality assurance team to ensure understanding of departmental metrics and needs.
- Daily written and verbal communication with Director of Donor Quality Assurance to ensure all duties are understood and ensure all work is in compliance with regulatory agencies and internal policies.
- Regular communication with recovery agencies to retrieve chart information.
- Regular communication with the production department to ensure released tissue is distributed for processing.
