Requirements

  

Essential Functions


Your daily contributions are key to shaping an environment where love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control are discovered anew by both our team and the elders we serve.


Responsibilities

  • Complete supper meal preparation as directed from Executive Chef or Cook.
  • Assist Resident Associates in preparing for serving of supper meal, including setting tables, making coffee, pouring ice water and   milk, setting salad on table.
  • Function in Position #3 in kitchen (includes coordinating dishing up of meal plates for servers and dishwashing.)
  • Ensure special diets and alternate menu selection requests are followed.
  • Follow sanitation, infection control, and safety procedures.
  • Prepare and/or deliver meal tray to resident apartments.
  • Handle food leftovers per defined procedure.
  • Complete dishwashing of all meal prep pots and pans and supper dishes.
  • Complete kitchen cleaning tasks as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility


This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Physical Expectations


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move objects and patients weighing over 50 pounds. 

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


Position Type/Expected Hours:


· Full or part-time position with rotating shifts, including holidays and inclement weather. 

· No travel expected.


Required Education and Experience


· 16 years of age.
