Reports to: Commercial Risk Manager
Location: Leicester LE3 5BZ
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week
We’re looking for an insightful and motivated junior credit analyst to join our growing Commercial Team.
You’ll be part of an experienced Commercial Team responsible for providing credit-risk insight & analysis to support wider business objectives. In addition to this you will be responsible to develop meaningful credit reporting and create insights that support commercial credit risk decision making.
As a credit decision analyst, you will receive applications from Direct Sales & TPI’s for business-energy customers who are looking to contract with Yu Energy, to power their businesses. You will be responsible for ensuring in-depth credit assessments are completed, and credit terms are acceptable to mitigate risk exposure for Yu Energy. Some of these mitigations, could be advocating for security deposits, guarantor agreements etc. You’ll also likely be required to challenge various stakeholders when credit risk is apparent.
You will complete due diligence and KYC checks using 3rd party software tools to verify our customers and to support with decisioning. Additionally, you will analyse data across out customer portfolio looking to spot trends and identify further opportunities for development. In this role, you will work very closely with other areas of the business such as Sales, TPI, Debt, and Operations respectively. You will also be a point of contact to support with queries, credit decisioning reasoning and be a bridge between Yu Energy and 3rd party credit bureau relations.
