As a Lab Tech ll, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the integrity of our products by performing QA testing on in-process samples, raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods—all in alignment with our Company Quality Policy. You’ll use advanced software tools to analyze data against internal and external specifications, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in both the lab and plant, and help us exceed customer expectations through your QA/QC expertise.
During your X-hour shift as a Lab Tech II, you will
- Analyze raw materials, intermediate products, finished products and other chemical samples and evaluate suitability according to established specifications to ensure quality and availability of the final product.
- Analyze samples, provide quality data and become an active member along with the Lab Supervisor and Production personnel to provide innovative ideas to improve lab and plant processes and demonstrate continuous improvement
- Know, understand and use software tools such as Lotus Notes, LabWare, SAP, Microsoft Office Programs, etc. which enhance quality reporting.
- Ensure the suitability of laboratory equipment through proper operation, maintenance, calibration, verification and good quality control and assessment activities.
- Generate quality data and significant statistical data to support plant personnel in their efforts to enhance process control, meet customer requirements and continuously improve our product quality characteristics.
If you...
- Hold a minimum 2-year Associate’s degree in Chemistry or a technical degree in analytical testing or a related field, and have 3+ years of experience in a chemical manufacturing laboratory environment.
- Possess a solid understanding of general chemistry, QA/QC techniques, math, statistics, and ISO/RCMS quality system requirements.
- Are skilled in the operation, calibration, and troubleshooting of lab instruments such as gas chromatographs, viscometers, spectrophotometers, pH meters, titrators, and similar equipment.
- Can lead projects with minimal supervision, create or update procedures/STIs, and participate in audits, root cause investigations, validations, and training of new employees.
- Have basic computer proficiency with tools like Microsoft Office, SAP, Power BI, and can prepare reports and analyze data effectively.
- Are physically able to lift 30–50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, occasionally use stairs, and wear respiratory protection when required.
