OVERVIEW
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, you will:
- develop and manage marketing calendar and production timelines for advertising and promotions based on museum priorities to drive results.
- produce creative briefs detailing the scope, purpose and desired outcome of marketing campaigns and creative concepts for print, video and digital marketing.
- campaign outline goals, objectives, timelines, campaign budget, message creative assets and performance metrics based on museum priorities and target audiences.
- write and edit copy for advertising, brochures, promotional materials, influencer outreach and museum activations, sourcing images and selecting appropriate in-house and/or contract designers for campaign development.
- assist in creating storyboards, scripts and production of timely and relevant marketing and promotional videos, update content on Welcome Desk digital wall signage, in-museum promotional signage and activations aligned with brand standards, museum priorities and latest museum offerings.
- field and manage marketing requests received, prepare and manage service agreements with external vendors and consultants.
- measure campaign results using audience data, campaign learnings and insights to improve audience engagement, relationship building with stakeholders and awareness amongst target audiences.
- develop detailed project plans to track progress and keep all departments apprised with regular project status updates including timelines, milestones, risks, issues, and budget expenditures.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Experience required for this position is as follows:
- Ability to develop detailed project work plans for the purposes of tracking progress and keeping all departments apprised of project status.
- Skill in developing marketing plans that include messaging, goals, objectives, timelines, desired outcomes, tactics, campaign budget and metrics.
- Skill in oral communication.
- Skill in written communication sufficient to produce promotional materials (e.g., online marketing features, feature stories, photos/captions, digital videos) for a public Web site.
- Knowledge of and skill in museum, cultural or historical institution or in an organization performing marketing and communications duties.
- Knowledge of and skill in project planning and program management.
Or, Combination: Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying.
