Position Summary:
The Assistant Sales Manager will support the Regional Sales Manager in leading and developing a team of Solar Energy Consultants, ensuring operational efficiency, assisting with deal closures, and helping drive revenue growth. This role acts as a critical link between leadership and the sales team, ensuring that team members are supported, trained, and aligned with Sol-Up’s mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Regional Sales Manager in recruiting, onboarding, and training Solar Energy Consultants.
- Assist in organizing and leading regular sales meetings to review progress, provide updates, and discuss strategies.
- Help track team performance by compiling reports and analyzing sales metrics.
- Shadow and assist Solar Energy Consultants in the field, providing coaching and feedback to improve performance.
- Assist in closing sales by participating in client meetings and helping present tailored solar solutions.
- Ensure the team follows company protocols and maintains a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Provide administrative support including data entry, CRM updates, daily activity reports, and pipeline tracking.
- Support the team in overcoming client objections and troubleshooting any issues during the sales cycle.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Sol-Up’s products and services, including solar, windows, doors, HVAC, and other offerings.
- Help maintain high customer satisfaction by ensuring quality communication and follow-through.
- Serve as a point of contact when the Sales Manager is unavailable and provide leadership coverage as needed.
- Participate in team-building activities, canvassing efforts, and occasional travel based on business needs.
- Represent Sol-Up with professionalism, integrity, and passion at all times.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of solid sales experience, preferably in solar, home improvement, or similar industries.
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership or team support role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MacOS and Google Workspace; experience with CRM platforms (Sunbase, OpenSolar, Nimbus, etc.) is a plus.
- Highly organized with strong time management and multitasking abilities.
- Positive attitude with a team-first mindset and willingness to learn.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
- Must have an active Home Improvement Salesperson (HIS) License
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
