In this Brisbane based role, you’ll be the critical link between Procurement and our Major Projects division. You’ll lead early procurement engagement, develop commercial strategies, and manage complex contract negotiations that deliver real value. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Lead procurement planning and strategy development for major construction and asset projects.
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, from defining project briefs to contract award and handover.
- Oversee multiple complex contracts simultaneously, including traditional and design and construct models.
- Provide expert commercial advice aligned with procurement policies and category strategies.
- Act as the primary liaison between Procurement and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Conduct market analysis and implement strategic sourcing initiatives to drive value and mitigate risk.
- Foster strong supplier relationships and lead negotiations to secure optimal outcomes.
- Champion continuous improvement by streamlining procurement processes and adopting new technologies.
- Participate in strategic planning sessions and contribute to organisational performance through procurement insights.
- Promote a collaborative, high-performance culture across teams and departments.

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, procurement, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) preferred.
- 7-10 years’ procurement / contract management experience in a construction environment.
- Experience in a high profile procurement / contract environment utilising the latest procurement and contracts tools and techniques
- Proven track record of successful supplier and contract negotiations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies.
- Extensive knowledge of the energy or related industries.
- Experience in managing procurement for large, complex organisations.
- Understanding of industry-specific procurement challenges and opportunities.
- Proficient in using procurement and supply chain management software and tools.
