We’re looking for a strategic and experienced State Contract Services Manager to join our Brisbane based office to lead our Contract Services team and drive excellence across our contracts process. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless customer experiences, managing complex legal arrangements, and partnering with internal stakeholders to meet sales and settlement targets.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Act as a strategic business partner to internal stakeholders, enhancing the internal customer experience
  • Lead a team of Contract Specialists, managing workloads and forecasting to ensure operational efficiency
  • Oversee the preparation and management of contracts, variations, cancellations, and terminations
  • Handle escalations from Strategic Partners and ensure timely resolution
  • Monitor and mitigate risks in the contracts process, including trust account and hardship requests
  • Review and sign financial and transfer documents in PEXA during peak periods
  • Improve templates, SOPs, playbooks, and training materials in response to regulatory updates
  • Provide tactical oversight of Legal Representatives and Strategic Partners
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, including trust accounting and escalation protocols

 

 

About You

Experience & Skills That Count:

  • Licensed Conveyancer or Lawyer (Essential)
  • Minimum 5–7 years of conveyancing or relevant legal experience
  • Strong business partnering experience with internal and external stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of contract management and transaction processing
  • Experience leading high-performing teams and managing operational risk
