Pay Rate: $20.00 – $26.00 per hour (based on experience)

Position Summary

The Manual Machinist / Warehouse Technician is responsible for operating manual machining equipment and supporting general warehouse functions to ensure efficient production and material flow. This hybrid role combines hands-on machining skills with warehouse and material-handling duties to support daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
 

Key Responsibilities

Machining Duties:

  • Set up and operate manual machines such as lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses to produce precision parts according to specifications.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to determine machining operations.

  • Measure and inspect parts to ensure they meet dimensional tolerances and quality standards.

  • Perform routine maintenance on machining equipment and maintain a clean, organized work area.

  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.

Warehouse / Material Handling Duties:

  • Receive, store, and issue raw materials, components, and finished products as required.

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and stock management.

  • Prepare and package products for shipment following company and customer requirements.

  • Assist with loading and unloading deliveries and organizing materials in designated areas.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification preferred.

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating manual machining equipment.

  • Familiarity with warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, and inventory control.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).

  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with ERP or inventory systems preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

  • Frequent bending, stooping, and manual handling of materials.

  • Exposure to a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels and machinery.
