SUMMARY
The Vice President, Credit Risk and Analytics, is a strategic and operational leader responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the credit union's overall credit risk management framework and leveraging data analytics to optimize lending practices and portfolio performance. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding the credit union's financial health and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as a member of the senior leadership team and works collaboratively to achieve strategic goals and initiatives that maximize stakeholder returns.
- Develop and implement credit risk management strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the credit union's risk appetite and business objectives.
- Oversee the development, testing, and optimization of credit policies, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Lead the analysis of credit portfolio performance, including identifying emerging risks, trends, and potential vulnerabilities.
- Utilize advanced analytics techniques, including scoring and segmentation, to assess and quantify credit risk exposure.
- Develop and maintain early warning systems to proactively identify and address at-risk loans and potential portfolio deterioration.
- Track and report on credit risk initiatives, portfolio performance, and emerging trends to senior management and the President.
- Lead the creation and delivery of insightful reports and dashboards on credit risk metrics, portfolio health, and emerging risks.
- Collaborate with lending teams, operations, finance, and other departments to ensure effective credit risk management across the credit union.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of collections professionals and analysts.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to ensure the credit union's credit risk management practices remain current and effective.
- Attends monthly Board of Director meetings at the discretion of the President.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
- Oversees collections department.
- Positive change agent who communicates organizational, procedural and policy changes effectively; builds commitment and overcomes resistance; prepares and supports those affected by change.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive as well as ongoing coaching.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, statistics, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in credit risk management within the financial services industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within a credit union.
- Extensive knowledge of credit policy analytics and development, particularly for various loan portfolios (e.g., credit cards, mortgages, auto loans).
- Proficiency in statistical software and programming languages such as crystal reporting, SAS, SQL, and Python.
- Strong understanding of credit union operations, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent ability to conceptualize long-term business goals and develop orderly processes to accomplish those goals.
