The Westminster School District, located in West Orange County, operates 17 schools: 13 elementary sites, three middle schools, and one site which provides preschool programs. The District has approximately 1,100 employees. The Westminster School District is recognized for high academic achievement and serves about 8,200 students, grades Preschool-8th. The district offers a broad scope of supplemental instructional programs including two dual immersion programs, GATE academy, music and band, exploratory STEAM/Coding programs, and state-of-the-art science and art facilities. Modern library-media centers, integration of technology, and specialized instruction help provide a well-balanced and rigorous curriculum to support students to become innovative, critical thinkers who readily adapt to a rapidly changing 21st-century environment.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Site Administrator(s), performs a variety of complex duties relative to the organization and management of school activities at a school site. Facilitates communications between staff, students, parents, administrators, and the community with confidentiality and sensitivity. Supports the Site Administrator(s) with routine administrative detail by utilizing independent judgment, initiative, tact, patience, and courtesy. The current vacancy is located at Anderson Elementary, the hours are 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday.

Required Documents

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES: Possession of a valid California Driver's License. The securing of a valid First-aid Certificate issued by the American Red Cross or its equivalent, or completion of the Westminster School District basic first-aid training program, and CPR certification within three (3) months of employment in this classification. Certification will be updated and maintained

Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (1) Graduation from high school, (2) two years of secretarial or increasingly responsible clerical experience involving frequent contact with the public. Ability to type at a minimum of 45 words per minute. *NOTE: Should a large number of candidates pass the written exam, a higher passing score than 80% may be required to progress.
