SUMMARY
The Incumbent’s primary duty is the performance of work requiring advance knowledge acquired during a four year degree course of instruction; and requires the incumbent to consistently exercise discretion and judgement in applying advanced knowledge. Under regular supervision of the ADSAP Program Manager and/or Director of Intervention Services, counsels and aids individuals requiring assistance coping with substance use disorders, by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following:
Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
- Conducts Group Counseling Sessions. (60%)
- Monitors client’s progress and identify ongoing needs. Work in collaboration with clinical counselors/case managers. (35%)
MARGINAL DUTIES (5%) includes the following:
- Attends all required meetings and required training sessions.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in human services field and experience performing the essential duties of the position are required. A Master’s degree in human services field and experience performing the essential duties of the position are preferred. Licensure and/or CAC certification are highly desired. Applicant must be PRI (Prime For Life) Certified within 2 years.
