Description

The Solution Architect will play a pivotal role in advancing our digital and AI strategy. Reporting directly to the CIO, this hands-on role blends architecture, development, and innovation to design and deliver modern digital platforms, AI-driven applications, and data solutions that simplify complexity, drive efficiency, and enhance the customer and employee experience.

This role is key to shaping how Betco leverages data, AI, and automation to scale growth, improve operations, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Requirements

Solution Design and Delivery

• Architect and build custom applications, integrations, and digital tools that drive measurable business value.
• Define and champion solution design standards across data, applications, and APIs.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies that drive business value.

AI and Data

• Apply AI and automation to simplify processes and enhance decision-making.
• Lead modern data architecture efforts to improve access to information and insights.
• Explore and implement agentic AI solutions with clear, high ROI.

Execution and Leadership

• Drive end-to-end delivery of application, AI, and data projects with full ownership and measurable results.
• Prototype, test, and deliver working solutions using an AI-centric development approach.
• Ensure adoption and success through close collaboration with business teams.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Collaboration

• Partner with other departments to deliver technological solutions that align with growth and efficiency goals.
• Clear and effective communicator, able to explain technical solutions in business terms and business needs in technical terms.

Technical Expertise

• Application Development: Node.js, Python, Next.js, React
• AI & Automation: LLM-centric apps, frameworks, prompting, agentic design
• Integrations: API-first and event-driven architecture patterns
• Low-Code Platforms: modern tools that accelerate delivery
• Data Architecture: Snowflake, dbt, modern modeling, pipelines.

• Comfortable working in ambiguity and simplifying complexity into actionable steps.
