Education and Experience
•Education: Equivalent of completion of high school; successful completion of college or business school coursework (30 semester units equal one year) in purchasing, business administration, accounting, etc.
•Experience: Two (2) years of increasingly responsible and varied purchasing experience in business or public agencies
Requirements / Qualifications
1. A completed EDJOIN classified application
2. Copy of HS diploma or GED Certificate, or copy of transcripts showing high school graduation date.
3. Successful completion of college or business school coursework (30 semester units in Purchasing, Business Administration, Accounting or related subject, proof of 30 units is required).
Comments and Other Information
Experience: Two (2) years of increasingly responsible and varied purchasing experience in business or public agencies.
Prior to employment, all applicants are subject to a fingerprint clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ) and a fee for processing. Authorization of employment will not be granted until the fingerprint clearance from DOJ has been accepted.
CURRENT EMPLOYEES SHALL REMAIN IN A POSITION FOR AT LEAST ONE (1) YEAR FROM THE BEGINNING DATE OF AN INITIAL PROBATION OR PROMOTIONAL PROBATIONARY PERIOD (PER CONTRACT, ARTICLE 15).
