Water Treatment Coordinator

Where will you work: Onsite at our Plant City location (660 E County Line Road
Plant City, FL 33565)
 

Mosaic is seeking a Water Treatment Operations Specialist to support daily activities across multiple Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants and assist in managing facility operations. In this role, you’ll conduct safety inspections, audits, and provide oversight for engineering projects at both active and idle concentrate sites in Florida. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including gypsum stack operations, SAP/PAP, engineering, environmental, and subject matter experts to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient water treatment processes. What you’ll do:

  • Manage Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants by planning, coordinating, delegating, and executing scheduled maintenance and optimization activities

  • Serve as the operational lead and liaison across facilities, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations

  • Monitor and report any environmental or safety concerns that could impact employees or operations

  • Oversee spend plans, scopes of work (SOW), and purchase requisitions (PRs) to maintain asset availability

  • Provide clear work direction and constructive feedback to contractors and team members

  • Address performance issues and support employee development through coaching and career guidance

  • Travel to job sites to monitor construction activities and track project progress

What you’ll need:

  • High School/GED with 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Process improvement experience

  • Prior supervisory experience

  • Project Coordination, Project Management, Construction Management, or equivalent experience

  • Experience working on large scale water treatment projects and management of engineering consultants, contractors and contracting firms

  • Knowledge of surveying and ability to interpret plans and specification

  • Follows EHS guidelines and serves as an example to others.

  • Windows Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams

Bonus points if you have the following:

  • Bachelor's with 1+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience working with SAP, PI, OIS, Maximo, Ariba, and/or WebGIS
