What You’ll Do

As a member of the Human Resources Department, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the HR function while also contributing to strategic initiatives that foster employee engagement, compliance, and organizational growth. The ideal candidate will be both detail-oriented and people-focused, with expertise across recruitment, onboarding, benefits, payroll, and compliance, as well as the ability to support initiatives in performance management, employee relations, and workforce development.

 

As an HR Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our workforce, driving employee engagement, and supporting both daily HR operations and long-term people strategies. Essential Job Duties & Functions



Recruitment

  • Manage the full cycle of recruitment, from job requisition through onboarding.
  • Ensure all positions have current job descriptions for internal and external use.
  • Confirm hiring requests are submitted using the Job Requisition Form, approved by senior leadership, and aligned with department staffing budgets.
  • Update and maintain the Requisition Tracker.
  • Post positions on approved platforms (BambooHR, LinkedIn, etc.) and manage related systems (LinkedIn account, BambooHR).
  • Send offer letters, initiate background checks, and behavioral assessments.
  • Develop partnerships with universities and organizations to strengthen candidate pipelines.
  • Coordinate company participation in career fairs and related initiatives.

Onboarding

  • Manage full-cycle onboarding for new hires.
  • Send onboard packets and communications (welcome email, benefit enrollment, etc.) and ensure all documentation is completed before the start date.
  • Create and maintain new hire profiles and folders in all appropriate systems.
  • Verify documentation, including I-9 forms.
  • Partner with Admin and IT to ensure equipment, workstations, and access are prepared before the start date.
  • Maintain payroll notes for payroll preparation.

Benefits Administration

  • Support the HRM to ensure annual Open Enrollment periods function properly, including updating plan documents, vendor system updates, scheduling and hosting OE meetings, preparing communications, and reporting.
  • Reconcile monthly benefits invoices and billing.
  • Manage Employee Assistance Program (EAP) communications.
  • Administer Qualified Life Events and leaves of absence (FMLA, STD, LTD, Military Leave, Parental Leave, etc.).
  • Monitor time-off policies and input into payroll system (PTO, Sick Time, Bereavement, Jury Duty, etc.).
  • Maintain benefits documentation in department drives.

Payroll

  • Process bi-weekly payroll, including monthly commissions and leadership bonuses.
  • Maintain accurate payroll notes for each pay period.
  • Update employee changes (compensation, job information, status) in HRIS (BambooHR, Paylocity).
  • Fund 401(k) and HSA plans bi-weekly in alignment with payroll schedules.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Complete annual ACA filings and support internal/external audits.
  • Prepare required government and internal reporting.
  • Maintain and archive annual tax reports (W-2, W-3, 1095, quarterly filings).
  • Ensure company policies, procedures, and postings comply with all applicable employment laws and regulations.

Data & System Management

  • Manage employee files in department drives and HRIS platforms (BambooHR, Employee Navigator, Paylocity).
  • Oversee HR workflows, forms, and checklists (e.g., hiring request form, HTP document).
  • Maintain HR content and updates within the company intranet (SharePoint).

Employee Support

  • Monitor and manage HR inbox inquiries, responding within 24 hours.
  • Process management requests for employee changes (e.g., compensation, job title).
  • Guide on employee issues, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
  • Support HR leadership in promoting and enforcing policies.
  • Conduct and analyze employee engagement surveys, reporting results and recommendations to leadership.
  • Support enrichment and recognition programs to foster a positive workplace culture.

Strategic HR Support

  • Partner with leadership on performance management, succession planning, and organizational design.
  • Support change management and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on projects requiring HR input.



Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience (generalist or management capacity preferred).
  • Professional certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) strongly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong time management and project management abilities with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and delegate when appropriate.
  • Demonstrated ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Experience with HRIS and talent management systems (e.g., BambooHR, Paylocity)
  • Familiarity with payroll and benefits administration systems (e.g., Employee Navigator) is a plus.

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Onsite in Charlotte, NC Corporate Quint Office
  • Willing and eligible to travel internationally, as needed.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
