Overview:

We are seeking a plant Financial Analyst to support a critical manufacturing facility in the central Ohio area.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and interpret manufacturing financial results, variances, and trends.
  • Prepare monthly plant performance reports including standard cost variances (PPV, labor, overhead, etc.).
  • Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for plant operations.
  • Monitor capital expenditures and provide financial support for capital project justification
  • Maintain and update standard costs in the ERP system for formulas, recipes, and perform time studies to validate.
  • Perform cost analytics for cost changes related to BOM or routing changes.
  • Investigate and explain significant cost variances, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Partner with operations and supply chain teams to improve cost visibility and control.
  • Create, maintain, and audit accurate Bills of Materials in collaboration with engineering and production.
  • Ensure BOMs reflect current production processes and material usage.
  • Support product lifecycle changes including new product introductions (NPI) and engineering change orders (ECOs).
  • Validate BOM accuracy during cost roll-ups and product costing exercises
  • Work closely with QA, R&D, supply chain, and production teams to ensure financial data aligns with operational realities.
  • Support initiatives to improve plant efficiency, cost structure, and overall financial health.
  • Assist in inventory accuracy, cycle count analysis, and reconciliations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment in a financial analyst or cost accounting role.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) and strong understanding of BOM structures.
Competencies:

Works in a normal office environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, see, hear, sit, stand, talk, type, walk and bend while moving about the facility.  The noise level in the office is quiet. Occasional travel to plants or meetings is required.
