Syngenta is seeking a dynamic Shipping/Receiving Coordinator to join our Logistics team in Omaha. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient movement of products and materials for our manufacturing operations.
Job Description:Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute shipment of finished products (over 200 SKUs) for the Omaha Plant
- Manage receiving of raw materials for production units
- Provide direction to warehousemen on product availability and loading requirements
- Maintain accurate data in Warehouse Management System and SAP
- Communicate effectively with Plant, Customer Center, Customers, Contract MFG, and Carriers
- Develop and maintain operational procedures
- Handle shipment of samples for production, including hazardous materials
- Coordinate inbound and outbound rail activities
- Support Foreign Trade Zone and Bulk Coordinator operations
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing, customer service, or logistics
- Knowledge of SAP, WMS, LIMS, and Microsoft Office
- Understanding of Hazardous Materials Shipping Requirements
- Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as in a team
- Strong customer focus and problem-solving skills
- Hazardous materials certified shipper (required)
- Understanding of export business and customer needs
- Knowledge of transportation requirements (e.g., weight limits, driver hours of service)
