Job Objective: This role will support SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) and Materials Management (MM) modules by identifying, analyzing, interpreting, testing, validating, and documenting complex business requirements and translating them into Functional Specifications for effective SAP solutions. This position involves configuration, and ongoing support for SAP and its integration with business processes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of key SAP functionalities, and experience with GuiXT, OGSD, Data Collation, Consignment, and Third-Party Sales, as well as exposure to cross-functional processes in other modules.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties as requested by management. Assigned responsibilities and duties may vary based upon location size and operation.
- Analyze and document business requirements, acting as a bridge between business users and technical teams.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications with technical details to ensure scalable SAP solutions.
- Perform configuration and testing, including preparation of unit test plans and data.
- Support go-live activities, post-production support, and change management processes to drive system, project or enhancement adoption.
- Coordinate with development teams to deliver quality solutions and enhancements.
- Handle master data and transactional data integration between SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Provide ongoing user support and training, including the creation of training materials.
- Collaborate across departments and SAP modules to ensure consistent and high-quality implementations.
- Proactively communicate progress, risks, and issues with management.
Requirements:
- Working knowledge as SAP Functional Analyst in ECC 6.0 or later, gained through thorough training or relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of Sales and Distribution and Materials Management SAP Modules and preferred knowledge or experience in PM, PP, FI primary applications, tables, and basic configuration options, gained through thorough training or relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of GuiXT, OGSD, Data Collation, Consignment and Third-Party Sales, gained through thorough training or relevant experience.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter with a can-do attitude and ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Understanding of SAP Best Practices and the ability to apply them in real-world scenarios.
Preferred:
- Experience with SAP Security concepts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
