We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Utility Surveyor with a Pro Qual Level 3 Diploma as a minimum in Utility Mapping & Surveying qualification to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in conducting detailed surveys to identify, map, and record underground utilities and infrastructure. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects, utilise state-of-the-art equipment, and contribute to the growth and success of our company.
About the role:
- Location: Leeds
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with flexibility required.
- Salary: £37 500.00 per annum

As a Utilities Surveyor, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive utility surveys using advanced surveying techniques and equipment.
- Accurately identify, locate, and map underground utilities including water, gas, electricity, telecommunications, and sewer systems.
- Utilise Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), electromagnetic locators, and other surveying tools to collect data and create detailed utility maps.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure survey objectives are met and deliverables are of the highest quality.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and regulations while working in diverse environments and conditions.
- Provide technical expertise and support to junior surveying staff as needed.
Experience and qualifications required for the role:
- Level 3 minimum qualification in Utility Mapping and Surveying or equivalent.
- Proven experience working as a Utility Surveyor, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment such as GPR, electromagnetic locators, total stations, and GPS systems.
- Competent in gathering survey data and have experience with survey software, including n4ce / LSS / CAD.
- Clear understanding of PAS128.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
