Summary:
The functional reporting for the Production Scheduler role will be to Supply Planning Manager. The bakery crew e.g. receivers, cycle counters and line shippers who will be supporting the activities below will be providing support to this position for their portion of responsibilities laid out below.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Schedule production at the bakery based on guideline from the central planning teamand optimize production runs
- Adjust schedules in response to unplanned events such as machine breakdowns, labor shortages, raw material delays, or increase demand
- Escalation of issues, when necessary, e.g., materials discrepancies higher than the tolerance, process discrepancies within the bakery, production shortages etc. to Central planning team
- Accountable for ensuring scheduling files are maintained and up to date with new changes
- Responsible for releasing process orders for production
- Help Supply planning team to have visibility on PPW generated out of the bakery
- Track and report key scheduling KPIs such as service fill rate, on-time completions
- Ensuring Cycle counts of Finished Goods completed bi-weekly and responsible for addressing Finished goods discrepancies
- Improve inventory accuracy at the bakery to 98%+ (FG, SFG)
- Ensuring that the bakery production team maintains up-to-date and accurate information on the reporting system and escalating the issue when necessary
- Act as backup for Material Planner as required
- Other duties as required
About You:
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Materials Management, Industrial engineering or equivalent
- Strong communicator and team builder
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced & multitask environment
- Possess strong understating of Production Scheduling
- Ability to learn fast, ambitious, and come up with new innovative
- Naturally curious and strong desire to learn and grow
- Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills and have sense of urgency
- Flexible to work different work schedules when needed
- Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
- SAP experience is considered an asset
- Programming skills are considered an asset
- Positive attitude and a results-oriented mindset
