The Impact You'll Make
Danfoss in Easley, SC is seeking a 2nd Shift Team Lead to guide Operators daily on their tasks. This leader will ensure production orders meet deadlines and that only quality products advance to the next stages. Their oversight will cover all manufacturing areas operating during the 2nd shift.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Train operators in best work practices and standardized procedures. Implement cross-training programs to increase workforce versatility. Collaborate closely with full-time trainers to elevate employees' skill levels.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions promptly. Conduct basic repairs to restore functionality and promptly notify maintenance to ensure continuous operation.
- Inform the supply chain promptly if production priorities cannot be achieved.
- Identify product defects, guide employees on necessary repairs, and collaborate with the Product Engineer to troubleshoot product malfunctions.
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure all deadlines are consistently met.
What We're Looking For
- High School diploma or GED equivelant
- Strong leadership qualities like adaptability, reliability, and autonomy are vital for a lead person. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. A lead person must be capable of effectively training and guiding other employees within their work area. They must also fulfill the job qualifications for A/T and/or CNC operator roles or other relevant positions based on their area of responsibility.
- Possess strong fundamental math skills and demonstrate proficiency in SAP and Excel.
- Effectively delegate tasks to team members with clarity and confidence. Be reliable, maintain a positive attitude, and exhibit excellent communication skills.
