The Manager Sales at SUN Automation will manage and direct the work of a team of inside sales representatives who are responsible for selling organizational products or services via phone or email. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides competitive assessments, product or sales training, or pricing and contracting assistance to the sales team. 
  • Assists marketing, advertising, or related departments in promoting the organization's products or services. 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles of product line offering. 
  • Leads and directs the work of internal sales department and has full authority for personnel decisions. 
  • Primarily focused on administering established policies and procedures, departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural change.
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, training inside and outside sales personnel.
  • Set performance goals for the team and monitor team performance through metrics.
  • Conduct regular coaching, feedback sessions, and performance reviews.
  • Foster a positive, results-driven team culture.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Identify target markets, segments, and customer profiles.
  • Collaborate with marketing to generate leads and support demand generation.
  • Address customer inquiries, complaints, or escalations.
  • Collaborate with regional sales managers, technical sales team, SUN distributors and agents as well as the SUN parts department on strategic accounts.
  • Ensure accurate records are maintained in CRM system.
  • Manage pricing, quotations, and proposals with accuracy.
  • Establish smooth coordination with production, logistics, and other internal departments.
  • Standardize workflows for handling leads, quotes, and customer follow-ups.
  • Work with production, engineering, and logistics to provide accurate product information and delivery timelines.
  • Align with accounting and operations departments to ensure proper contract execution and invoicing.
  • Attend trade shows as required.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors in Sales/Marketing, Business, or Engineering preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in an industrial material supply chain and/or purchasing in corrugated manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Ability to interpret technical product specifications and drawings (blue prints).
  • Exposure to B2B sales.
  • On the job knowledge of scheduling, inventory control, and other related functions beneficial.
  • Proficient in the use of Word, Excel or similar computer applications in a Windows environment.
  • High competence in written and oral communication skills, analytical problem solving, decisiveness, and planning required.
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills; very organized and detail oriented.
  • Customer relationship management (CRM) proficiency, e.g., Salesforce.
  • Ability to develop sales strategies and forecast sales.
