IPS - Rubbercraft is seeking a Production Control Specialist/Expeditor who is responsible for tracking and ensuring timely execution of priority or expedited orders. Assisting Manufacturing with expediting shop load (Work in Process).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Generates Planning Status reports
- Responsible for tracking work orders on the floor
- Release work orders to production floor per their due date, planned by Master Scheduler.
- Expedite manufacturing orders through the operations and remain up to date on their status.
- Review and report sub assembly’s status to meet top level manufacturing order status
- Monitor work Orders to ensure timely routing competition. Monitor production schedules to meet shipping dates driven by customer requirements.
- Coordinate production needs with Production Planner and scheduler
- Follows and audits the physical progress of materials or goods through manufacturing to ensure conformance to schedule. Update production reports / lists on a continuous, as well as as-needed basis.
- Reports major problems to supervisor for corrective action, and assists, when possible in initiating.
- Communicates and works with the respective department personnel to ensure critical orders are expedited through the required manufacturing processes.
- Contribute to daily Production Meetings and issue updates daily to attendees.
- Evaluate schedule dates, make changes as necessary and communicate changes to production and planning management.
- Work with production control and engineering teams to ensure timely job releases.
- Responsible for any additional duties and or responsibilities as assigned.
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.
Job Specifications: HS Diploma or GED equivalent required, Bachelors degree preferred
Years Experience: 3+ years in a similar work environment as a production expeditor or specialist
Skills:
- Working knowledge of ERP, GP (Great Plains) preferred or others
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English Language. Spanish is a plus.
- High level of attention to details and numerically oriented
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and perform under pressure
- High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software programs, particularly Excel.
- Ability to be trained in usage of manufacturing applications
- Excellent responsiveness and customer focus
- Must be able to work overtime including weekends
