About the role
- Production Planning: Develop and maintain production schedules that align with company objectives and customer requirements. considering factors like demand forecasts, production capacity, inventory levels, and resource availability. Optimize the allocation of human resources, machinery, and equipment to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate and direct production teams, managing staff schedules and resources to meet production targets. Provide clear direction and seek feedback from the production floor regarding production activities.
- Material Management: Coordinate with the procurement and inventory teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components required for production.
- Quality Control: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that production processes adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements, and performance of the PMT metrics is critical to the business.
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports on production performance, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions.
- Continuous Improvement: Work on process improvements, implement lean 6S manufacturing principles, and drive efficiency gains.
- Communication & Coordination: Liaise with various departments (production, purchasing, quality, maintenance and Engineering) to ensure alignment and smooth operations. Take a leading role in cross functional efforts to coordinate solutions, actions or achieve continuous improvement initiatives.
- Compliance: Ensure all production activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

What you bring to the role
- 3+ years experience in production management or a similar role, with knowledge of production planning and quality control principles.
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent Communicator
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies
- Experience in an ERP/MRP system such as SAP

- Post Secondary education within a supply chain discipline
