Itero Group is seeking a Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer to support our mission-critical contract. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining network infrastructure and systems to ensure the uninterrupted availability of CBP’s operational environments. This is a hands-on position requiring strong technical skills, rapid problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service in a federal environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 24x7 monitoring of CBP network, systems, and applications using NOC tools (SolarWinds, Splunk, etc.).
Respond to alerts, incidents, and service requests in a timely manner, escalating as required.
Perform initial triage, troubleshooting, and remediation of network and system issues.
Coordinate with Tier 2/3 engineering teams to resolve escalated incidents.
Document incidents, root cause analysis, and resolutions in ticketing systems (ServiceNow or equivalent).
Support configuration, patching, and updates of network devices under change control procedures.
Ensure compliance with CBP and DHS security policies and procedures.
Participate in on-call rotation and support planned maintenance windows.
Required Qualifications
U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain Public Trust (NACI Tier 1).
2+ years of experience in a NOC, network support, or IT operations role.
Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, routing/switching).
Experience with NOC monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, Splunk, or similar.
Proficiency with ticketing systems and ITIL-based incident management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Active CBP Public Trust or DHS clearance.
Experience supporting federal government or DHS programs.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or CCNA.
Familiarity with ServiceNow and federal change management processes.
