The Senior Manager, GL Solutions and Design will lead HP’s most critical finance transformation initiatives, driving end-to-end design and execution of global General Ledger (GL) processes across a highly complex SAP S/4HANA landscape. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership to deliver compliant, scalable, and innovative solutions that support financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and business growth. The position requires strong collaboration across Finance, IT, and external partners to ensure that HP’s GL solutions remain future-ready, audit-compliant, and aligned with global business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of major financial transformation programs across HP’s SAP S/4HANA environment, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise on GL, MEC & YEC, consolidations, cost allocations, fixed assets, interfaces, account reconciliations (incl. Cadency), balance sheet segmentation, ESG reporting, external reporting, and restatements.
  • Define and maintain SAP enterprise structure and organizational data (company codes, ledgers, plants, accounting principles, WBS elements, validation & substitution rules).
  • Design and implement M&A integration solutions (data migration, ongoing transfers, system integrations) for acquisitions, divestitures, and restructuring.
  • Drive SAP Data Volume Management strategies to ensure long-term system stability, performance, and enablement of new business models.
  • Partner with business and technology teams to evaluate emerging SAP capabilities (Group Reporting, Advanced Financial Close, etc.) and embed them into HP’s MEC strategy.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, ensuring end-to-end process impact awareness beyond GL, and work closely with project teams for successful rollouts.
  • Ensure processes, controls, and documentation are consistently SOX and audit compliant, with strong focus on risk mitigation and operational excellence.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external networks to strengthen HP’s reputation for financial integrity and solution leadership.
  • Mentor and guide teams, fostering innovation, collaboration, and accountability.

Profile Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced qualification (CPA, Chartered Accountant, MBA) preferred.
  • 10+ years of finance and ERP transformation experience, with deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA (GL, Consolidation, MEC/YEC, integrations).
  • Proven success in leading large-scale global finance projects in a complex multi-GAAP, multi-currency environment.
  • Strong experience with account reconciliation tools (Cadency or equivalent) and financial controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage M&A financial system integration end-to-end.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting standards, regulatory compliance, and audit frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills in global, cross-functional environments.

  • Strong process design, solution architecture, and control design capabilities.
  • Digital fluency with SAP S/4HANA and emerging financial systems.
  • Effective communicator with ability to simplify complex financial/technical topics.
