Alera Group is looking for a Customer Service - Agent, Select Accounts. We are seeking highly motivated colleagues who bring experience and enthusiasm to our team – joining us may be the perfect fit for you!

Responsibilities:
  • Initiate and follow up on customer, carrier, and agent requests to resolve issues, answer questions, request policy changes, and process new policies
  • Independently manage an assigned book of clients, including new business marketing, renewals, coverage questions, quoting on carrier websites, and daily servicing needs

  • Prepare, monitor, and assist with renewals, certificates, claims, cancellations, applications, and related client documents

  • Facilitate the claims process by serving as the central point of contact for customers, providing continuous updates, and coordinating with producers, CSA teams, and carrier adjustors

  • Provide marketing support by drafting pre-approach letters and proposals; support producers through research and onsite service for large customer claims, presentations, and reviews

  • Maintain branch office supply inventory, create and manage client files, track follow-up actions, and handle assigned projects as needed

  • Participate in meetings, training, service seminars, and educational activities to stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices

Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; two to three years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior insurance agency and/or sales experience preferred, with knowledge of insurance basics including forms, terminology, bonds, and related concepts

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet navigation

  • Strong language skills with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret insurance policies, coverages, documents, and regulations

  • Skilled in preparing reports, business correspondence, and effectively presenting information to managers, clients, carriers, and the public

  • State-specific insurance license required; professional designations such as CISR or CIC preferred

This job is expected to be performed on-site in the office.

Hourly range is $24 to $29 per hour.
