JOB SUMMARY
TURN is seeking a seasoned Clinical Instructor Supervisor to lead the implementation and oversight of our clinical education programs. This role ensures consistent instructional quality, and effective training of both our clinical and non-clinical teams. The supervisor will diagnose performance gaps, implement sustainable training frameworks, and develop a repeatable playbook for excellence. This position blends hands-on curriculum support, coaching, compliance auditing, and program (L&D) development.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create training plans and training materials for all clinical and non-clinical disciplines (nursing, behavioral health, etc.).
• Conduct diagnostic review of clinical and non-clinical team training practices: evaluating performance, peer feedback, compliance with site requirements, and alignment with care standards.
• Design and implement improvements: standardized training modules, evaluation rubrics, and role expectations.
• Establish preventive controls: training audit protocols, dashboards, and compliance checklists for documentation.
• Create SOPs and training manual.
• Assist in managing LMS.
• Provide ongoing in-service training to support clinical and non-clinical skill development and professional growth.
• Monitor and support the quality and effectiveness of clinical services across programs.
• Handle PII/PHI when necessary, using least-privilege access, secure transfer, and masking where possible; follow HIPAA and internal policy.
• Maintain confidentiality of client care and adhere to ethical and legal standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Master’s degree and current active CA BBS license (MFT, LCSW, LPCC) in good standing.
• Must meet BBS requirements to serve as a clinical supervisor, including completion of required supervision training hours and ongoing continuing education in supervision.
• Minimum two years of post-licensure clinical experience.
• Proven experience supervising clinical teams and implementing healthcare education programs.
• Deep understanding of clinical compliance (e.g., HIPAA, FERPA, accreditation standards).
• Strong project management and training development skills.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities; LMS or credentialing system experience a plus.
• Clear communicator and team leader able to manage timelines, deliver training, and ensure quality.
• Consulting mindset with ability to work independently and partner across departments.
• Valid CA driver’s license and current auto insurance per contract requirements required.
• Experience providing mental health and/or substance use disorder services preferred.
• Demonstrated cultural competency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHR software preferred.
• Ability to travel between sites and use standard office and telehealth equipment.
