The senior accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic educational environment.
The senior accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance while contributing to the strategic financial management of the company.
This full-time position typically works (Monday – Friday between the hours of 8 am - 5 pm). This is a hybrid position, subject to change as business necessitates.

Responsibilities
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries for international entities.
· Manage international tax planning, compliance, and reporting
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
· Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and other financial accounts for international entities.
· Review expenditures against budget and make necessary correcting entries.
· Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts for international entities.
· Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances.
· Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and college policies.
· Coordinate with auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation.
· Support the finance team with ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as needed.
· Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
· Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in an educational or non-profit setting.
· Experience in international accounting practices and compliance with different accounting standards
· Demonstrated experience in accounting operations and financial reporting
· Strong understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, and accounting principles

· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
