Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position):
The Kitchen Manager oversees the Kitchen Team in maintaining a successful, clean and efficient kitchen, while keeping employee morale high. The Kitchen Manager works very closely with every branch of the Pause, as well as the many campus organizations that purchase large food orders and hold events at the Pause.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a member of the Pause Executive Committee and attend all required meetings.
- Set Kitchen open/close dates for the beginning of the term, breaks, and end of the term.
- Staff every opening and closing shift for the first week of each term.
- Staff every shift that a new employee is working.
- Ensure that the kitchen is properly staffed and that each employee is well-trained on food safety as well as the specific procedures of the kitchen.
- Direct the enforcement of disciplinary protocols for kitchen staff, including the creation of a disciplinary system with clear expectations. Communicate disciplinary system and expectations to all staff.
- Create a weekend rotation for the kitchen staff and an on-call weekend rotation for the KMs.
- Assist in an annual review of all kitchen policies (food prep, shift responsibilities, cleanliness, attire etc.).
- Maintain consistent communication via e-mail and Slack channels, checking messages on a daily basis.
Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)
Previous experience as a staff member in the Pause Kitchen is required.
Wage Range: $11.75-12.75
