We have an exciting new opportunity for Development Manager to join Stockland’s Waterloo Development team in NSW.

Stockland’s Waterloo South Precinct Project is a bold urban regeneration initiative that will transform one of Sydney’s most iconic precincts into a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable community. As the preferred delivery partner, Stockland is leading the creation of thousands of new homes—spanning social, affordable, and private housing—alongside new public spaces, amenities, and infrastructure.

This project reflects our commitment to shaping connected, liveable environments that support diverse communities and long-term urban growth. Our vision is to develop liveable spaces that are seamlessly connected to jobs, transport, and amenities, fostering a sense of community and convenience. As a Development Manager on the project your responsibilities will be varied as the project reaches new milestones.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Financial Oversight: Develop and maintain financial models for both current and prospective stages, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
  • Sustainability Leadership: Implement the Sustainability Policy at the project level, promoting environmental stewardship.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain robust working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Consultant managements: Continuously monitor market trends and cultivate strategic relationships.
  • Cross-divisional collaboration: Foster a culture of collaboration across divisions to maximize profitability by leveraging mixed-use capabilities.

 

About you  

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced professional with a track record working on High-Density Residential Apartment or Mixed Use projects, or social infrastructure as a Development Manager. In addition, you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Development Expertise: Strong technical understanding of the full development cycle from concept to delivery.
  • Commercial Acumen: Skilled in feasibility analysis and planning.
  • Collaborative Mindset: A team player who thrives in collaborative environments but can also work independently to drive outcomes.
  • Proactive Attitude: Energetic and motivated to push projects forward and achieve results.
  • Educational Background: Degree qualified in a relevant discipline, providing a solid academic foundation.
