About the Department

HOURS

Monday - Thursday, 4:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m., additional Friday and Saturday hours as scheduled based on events. 

Not to exceed 10 months. 

NATURE OF WORK

Under general supervision of the Recreation Program Manager, provides responsible supervision of the Richfield Community Center and performs janitorial work of average difficulty. This is a seasonal position and is therefore temporary in nature

Position Duties

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Provides exceptional customer service to multigenerational and multicultural building users and staff.
• Welcomes evening facility users and directs guests to appropriate room. 
• Assists rental groups and program users with facility needs and problem solve questions as needed.  
• Maintains a regular routine for keeping facility clean and safe.
• Cleans and maintains carpet and tiled floors including sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping.
• Cleans and maintains restrooms. 
• Sets up tables, chairs, displays and/or technology needed for building users.
• Operates audio/visual equipment.
• Performs minor building maintenance and repair.
• Supports and informs guests about City policies, procedures, operations and safety rules.
• Maintains building grounds including mowing, weed control, fertilizing, and snow removal.
• Operates computer to access internet, apps, shared task list, and facility schedules.
• Operates small engine equipment.
• Open and close building, including securing doors and setting alarm. 
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE

• Must possess a valid Class D driver’s license.
