SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Account Coordinator works in conjunction with the Sales Channel to support business development and client retention for the specific geographical region. This role will provide day-to-day admin support, to their perspective sales team, to ensure smooth processes regarding lifecycle of samples and retains, acting as a runner between departments, handling shipping, as well as ad-hock tasks. This position is a predominantly internal facing position.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
The account coordinator is expected to handle a variety of tasks that support the sales team. Candidate must have strong time-management skills with the ability to work under deadlines while multi-tasking.
- Oversees Full Sample Process Lifecycle with sales and lab
- Manages Production Retain Process
- Owns Product Development Entry and Task Management between Sales and Lab
- Document Requests both internal and external
- Cross-Functional work as needed
- Builds and owns multiple trackers
DIMENSIONS, TASKS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Arranges and coordinates schedules and appointments for account executive.
- Supports account executive’s efforts to generate and develop new business to meet specified production goals including but not limited to cold-calling and scheduling appointments; responsible for generating and developing new business in assigned areas.
- Supports account executive’s activities to maintain and nurture existing client relationships; responsible for specified existing clients in assigned areas.
- Functions as liaison between client companies, account executive, and operations staff.
- Prepares weekly, monthly and/or quarterly reports, tracking work as specified by manager.
- Organizes and maintains file system.
- Participates in business/trade events that impact business unit.
- Develops and maintains thorough knowledge of industry product information.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
MEETING PARTICIPATION
Coordinator will be expected to participate in weekly Sales Channel meetings as well as cross-functional meetings as needed.
AUTHORITY
This position report to the Channel Leader.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position is not a managerial role and does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
CLASSIFICATION
This is a full-time exempt role.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in related field or equivalent experience
WORK EXPERIENCE
- One to two years related experience or equivalent.
- Experience working in a GMP environment preferred
- 3+ years’ experience in the manufacturing industry preferred
