The Role

As a Senior Analyst, you will be a pivotal member of our Analytics Chapter, embedded directly with our Product teams. This isn't just a reporting role; you will be the driving force behind our experimentation culture, using data to answer our biggest questions and guide the evolution of the Lyst experience. You will own the entire experimentation lifecycle, from ideation and design to analysis and strategic recommendations, ultimately influencing what millions of shoppers see every day.

This is a senior role within the squad where you will not only deliver high-impact work, but also help to elevate the skills of the entire team.

What You'll Do:

• Champion Experimentation: Own and architect Lyst’s A/B testing framework across web and app. You will set the standard for excellence, continuously improving our practices and ensuring statistical rigour in everything we do.
• Lead & Mentor: Guide and develop other Product Analysts. You will foster a culture of curiosity, learning, and high performance within the team.
• Drive Strategy: Go beyond individual tests to answer broad strategic questions. You'll partner with Product, Design, and Engineering leaders to identify key opportunities, conduct impact analysis, and help shape the product roadmap.
• Deliver Actionable Insights: Design, launch, and analyse complex experiments, translating statistical outcomes into clear, compelling narratives that drive decision-making for stakeholders at all levels.
• Build Robust Foundations: Collaborate closely with Engineering to ensure our data capture is flawless, providing the solid foundation needed for world-class analytics and experimentation.
  

Who You Are:

• An Experimentation Expert: You have deep, hands-on expertise in running scaled experimentation programs (A/B, multivariate) across both app and web platforms.
• A Seasoned Product Partner: You thrive in a cross-functional squad environment, working alongside Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to build and iterate.
• A Natural Leader: You have proven experience mentoring, leading, or managing analysts, and you're passionate about helping others grow.
• Technically Fluent: Your toolkit is sharp. You would ideally possess:
• Strong proficiency in SQL and statistical analysis using languages like Python or R.
• Familiarity with advanced techniques such as Bayesian methods and Causal Inference is helpful but not essential. 
• Experience with advanced modelling concepts is a significant plus.
• A Strategic Thinker: You're highly autonomous and comfortable with accountability. You can navigate complexity, manage projects with senior stakeholders, and connect your work to the bigger business picture.
• A Team Player: You are committed to the success of your team and embody Lyst's values of collaboration, curiosity, and impact.

Requirements

• Expertise working in and running scaled experimentation across app and web. 
• Experience working with Product, Design and Engineering, ideally as part of a cross functional ‘squad’.
• Experience working as either a Lead, mentor or manager within an Analytics team.
• Familiarity with multiple experimentation and experiment analysis techniques, including Bayesian and Causal Inference. 
• Modeling Skills: Experience working on advanced modelling concepts.
• SQL and Statistical Analysis: Strong proficiency in SQL and statistical methods for analyzing complex data sets.
• Proven experience in conducting impact analysis to assess viable opportunities and scoping their relevance.
• Track Record: A successful track record of managing complex projects that involve cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
• Highly autonomous and comfortable with accountability; experience working across all levels within an organisation.
• Behavioral Qualities: Strong commitment to team success and Lyst’s values.
