Summary
A Creative Resourcing Manager is responsible for assigning the right talent, both full-time and freelance, to projects based on skills, availability and project requirements while balancing department workloads, utilization and business needs. They own day-to-day resourcing decisions for one or more creative departments (e.g., Creative, Creative Technology, Content) and are responsible for balancing project priorities, skills requirements, and individual capacity.
This position will support our Creative team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 3 days per week. The ideal candidate will be based out of one of the following locations:
- Philadelphia, PA
- Dallas, TX
- Detroit, MI
- Fort Wayne, IN
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Balances the flow of work among creative teams and disciplines on a national basis.
- Assigns the right talent (full-time & freelance) to projects based on skills, availability, and project requirements.
- Collaborates with account and RFP teams to define and clarify the resources required.
- Facilitates weekly meetings with team leaders to update and ensure awareness of bandwidth and availability.
- Leverages historical project data to help inform resourcing decisions, hour allocations and scale of teams required.
- Proactively resolves conflicts and adjusts assignments as priorities shift.
- Works with Creative Leads and Producers to forecast resource needs.
- Monitors utilization metrics to balance workloads and optimize efficiency.
- Builds and maintains relationships with freelance talent including negotiating rates and contracting.
- Ensures freelancers are onboarded properly and briefed effectively.
- Identifies gaps and/or inefficiencies in resourcing workflows and suggests improvements.
- Leverages knowledge and skills in relevant software applications and tools to make appropriate assignments.
- Acts as a positive and proactive partner to other departments involved in identifying and/or assigning talent.
- Understands each creative’s skillset, career goals and areas of growth to match them with the right opportunities.
- Partners with department leads to identify skill gaps and hiring needs.
- Identifies inefficiencies and proposes solutions to improve resourcing workflows.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of 2D and 3D creative disciplines and the skills required for each role.
- Proven experience in resource management, preferably within a creative or design environment.
- Hands on experience using resource planning tools and leveraging data to inform resourcing decisions.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution capabilities to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
- In-depth knowledge of the live events and exhibits industry, including trends, best practices, and key players.
