DATA QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYST

As a Data Quality Analyst at FMH, you will evaluate and test data, functionality, and processes within the company’s data warehouse and reporting software. You will be responsible for verifying that the system performs functionally and technically according to specifications and identify any discrepancies. This role resides in the Business Intelligence (BI) department.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience: One to three or more years of testing experience, especially in BI environments, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Knowledge of data mining and statistical analysis expected. Knowledge of navigating and extracting data from relational databases is necessary. Business and system domain knowledge preferred. Knowledge of testing processes and methodologies is extremely helpful.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Math, Economics, or related field (Associates Degree required).
- Skills: Experience with BI tools expected, such as SQL, Python, Tableau, and WebFOCUS. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs, especially Word and Excel. Demonstrated analytical thinking with great attention to detail.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviews requirements and technical design documents with other QA testers and developers to confirm expected functionality and business needs.
- Implements, evaluates, and documents the developed test cases and scenarios.
- Assists in the development of test plans for each individual component of the system or system enhancements.
- Creates new or modifies existing test scripts, based upon the business requirements and technical specifications.
- Works with experienced QA testers or developers to troubleshoot and resolve testing issues.
- Debugs and retests all components of the system or system enhancement, reporting and documenting all outcomes and test conditions.
- Determines test environment and test data requirements, often in concert with integrated systems owners.
- Communicates with manager and developers regarding project readiness, status, and potential risks. Documents, quantifies, and elevates risks as appropriate.
- Tracks and coordinates defect resolution and retesting to quantify and mitigate risk.
