Summary of Position
The Shop Service Technician III is a senior-level technician responsible for performing advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of equipment, vehicles, or machinery. This role requires expert technical skills, the ability to mentor junior technicians, and a commitment to ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. The Technician III serves as a subject matter expert and may be assigned complex projects requiring minimal supervision.

Non-Exempt/Hourly Position $32.00 - $46.00

Job Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical school or vocational training preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive hands-on experience with heavy equipment as a service or shop technician.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and computerized systems.
- Proven ability to perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in varying shop conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
· Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to identify and resolve potential equipment failures.
· Lead and train Shop Technicians I and II in repair techniques, safety practices, and company procedures.
· Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams to complete complex repairs.
· Accurately document all work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and service notes.
· Recommend process improvements, tools, and parts inventory needs to improve shop efficiency.
· Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards.
· Assist with warranty claims, service reports, and customer communications as needed.
· Operate specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
· Perform all other duties as assigned.
