As a GSRP Associate Teacher at Heartfelt Impressions, you will collaborate with the GSRP Lead Teacher on the care, supervision, and management of a PreK classroom in accordance with set goals and curriculum plans.

Position Detail:
  • Location: Onsite, Clarkston, MI
  • Regular, full time
  • Monday -Friday 8:30am-5pm
  • Desired start ASAP
  • Pay range $18-$22/hour, depending on education and experience
  • Does not qualify for US Visa sponsorship or relocation

Requirements
  • Must have a valid center-based preschool CDA (Child Development Associate credential); or an associate degree in early childhood education or child development or the equivalent
  • Must have full-time availability and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass fingerprinting background check
  • Valid CPR certification (can be renewed after hire)

Essential functions
Assists lead teacher in curriculum planning and execution
  • Abides by all Michigan childcare licensing rules and regulations
  • Maintain a fun and interactive classroom that is clean and organized
  • Create an effective and stimulating environment for learning, which meets the standards set forth in the Program Quality Assessment
  • Conduct Child Assessment (ASQ, PQA, COR)
  • Participate in monthly staff meetings, outings, and parent events
  • Interact with children in an appropriate manner and demonstrate problem solving skills and conflict resolution when necessary
  • Participate in home visits with the lead teacher to partner with parents to meet the educational needs of their children
