Gislingham CE Primary School, part of the Tilian Partnership, are looking to appoint a caring, dedicated and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our highly regarded and successful school. As a Teaching Assistant you will support individuals in KS2, including those with SEND, work with small groups of children in KS2 and lead intervention activities under the direction of the class teachers.

 

You will be engaging and passionate with:

  • experience of working with pupils in a school setting
  • the ability to use own initiative in supporting the learning needs of our pupils
  • the ability to inspire and motivate children to ensure that they achieve their full potential
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills and good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE A*- C, Grade 5 to 9) or equivalent 
  • high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour and able to relate to pupils in a pleasant and sympathetic manner
  • flexibility and commitment to working as part of a team
  • a good sense of humour and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
